Haddock Manor only ever retains personal information for as long as is necessary and has strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. Returns Policy
1. Introduction
We aim to provide high-quality books through our partner Bookvault. We understand that occasionally issues may arise, and we are committed to resolving them in accordance with UK law.
2. Non-returnable Items
Due to the nature of our print-on-demand products, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless the item you purchased is defective or damaged. If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us at sproudfoot@spiffingcovers.com with details of the product and the defect within 14 days of receiving your order.
3. Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a book that is damaged or defective, we will be happy to replace the item at no additional cost. To request a replacement, please provide the following:
- Proof of purchase
- Description and photographic evidence of the damage or defect
Once we receive the necessary information and verify the defect or damage, we will send you a replacement.
4. Cancellation Rights
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods. However, as print-on-demand products, these books are exempt from the usual 14-day cancellation period. This means that once your order has been processed and production has begun, it cannot be cancelled.
5. Refunds
In the rare event that a return is accepted (e.g., due to a defect or damage), we will notify you of the status of your refund after inspecting the returned item. If approved, we will process the refund to your original method of payment within a reasonable period.
6. Return Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning any item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
